The premiere of a brand-new opera is only an hour away, and the stage crew has left every painted scenery block in the theatre stacked in one tall wall across the stage. The orchestra cannot even see the conductor. Pixel Mozart, who cannot bear a late start, takes a gilded music-stand bar and the little brass bob from his metronome and begins Metronome Mayhem.
There is a method to it: the orchestra keeps playing during the clean-up, and every block knocked down right on the beat counts twice. A small light at the top of the stage blinks in time to help. Silver tuning forks drop from some of the blocks, well worth catching. Miss the bob three times and the curtain falls. How many walls can pixel Mozart clear before the overture?
