About Charles Darwin (Parody)

Charles Darwin was an English naturalist, born in 1809, who spent five years sailing around the world as a young man, collecting plants, animals and fossils. What he saw on that voyage, especially on the Galápagos Islands, helped him develop the theory of evolution by natural selection, one of the most important ideas in science. This parody turns him into a pixel naturalist with a huge white beard and a notebook always open.

The eight games here shrink his story to arcade size: a dash along a volcanic shore full of iguanas, a sailing race between islands, a tower of fossils, a tree of life grown with quick sums, a frigatebird ride, a line of baby tortoises, an overgrown hedge to trim and rainforest beetles to pair by colour. It is a light-hearted pixel caricature, and neither Charles Darwin nor his estate has any involvement in these games.
