About Leonardo da Vinci (Parody)

Leonardo da Vinci was an Italian painter, engineer and inventor of the Renaissance, born in 1452, who filled thousands of notebook pages with sketches of flying machines, gears and the human body. He painted some of the most famous pictures ever made and wrote many of his notes backwards, in mirror writing. This parody turns him into a pixel inventor with ink on his fingers and a new idea on every page.

Eight games bring those notebooks to arcade size: a dash over the rooftops of Florence, a spring-powered cart race through Tuscany, a tower of inventions passing the cathedral dome, a portrait painted one sum at a time, an ornithopter flight, wind-up ducklings in a piazza, cracked plaster knocked off a dining hall wall and sketches paired by candlelight. It is a light-hearted caricature in pixel art and chiptune, not an official project of any museum or foundation.
