Olive Grove Laps

Run laps through numbered gates in the olive grove. Lead a growing line of training runners through an olive grove with pixel Pheidippides. Pass the three numbered gates in order to complete a lap, in this free snake game.

Twist: Run through gates 1, 2 and 3 in order for a +100 lap, then the gates move.

Parody. Pheidippides has no involvement in making these games and does not endorse them. The character is an original pixel-art caricature.

How to play

Start and steer with the arrow keys, WASD or a swipe. The leader never turns straight back.
Three numbered gates stand between the olive trees. Go through gate 1, then 2, then 3 to finish a lap worth +100 points.
After each lap, the gates move to new places on the field.
Collect figs and grapes to grow the line as usual. The olive trees are solid: they, the edges and the line itself end the round.
Press M for sound and P or Esc to pause. When the round ends, share your score and challenge a friend.

The story

The young runners of the village want to train for the festival race, and they have asked pixel Pheidippides to show them the way. He leads them into the olive grove, where the farmers have marked three gates between the trees, and the practice becomes known as Olive Grove Laps.

Every snack he picks up, a fig or a bunch of grapes, brings one more runner into the line behind him. Pass gate 1, then 2, then 3 for a full lap and the gates move somewhere new. Watch out for the olive trees and the line itself, and see how many laps the team can finish.
