Acropolis Bounce

Chain broken bricks without the paddle for up to x8. Clear old scaffolding blocks from the temples of the Acropolis with pixel Pheidippides. Break several bricks before the ball returns to the paddle to multiply your points up to x8, in this free brick breaker game.

Twist: Bricks broken before the ball returns to the paddle multiply their points, up to x8.

Parody. Pheidippides has no involvement in making these games and does not endorse them. The character is an original pixel-art caricature.

How to play

  1. Move the paddle with the mouse, your finger or the arrow keys, and tap, click or press Space to launch the ball.
  2. Bricks broken one after another without the ball touching the paddle multiply their points: x1, then x2, x3 and so on, up to x8.
  3. As soon as the ball touches the paddle, the multiplier goes back to x1, so aim for long bounces among the bricks.
  4. Clear every brick to move to the next wall. Letting the ball fall past the paddle costs one of your balls.
  5. Press M for sound and P or Esc to pause. When the game ends, share your score and challenge a friend.

The story

The temple on the hill is getting a fresh coat of paint for the festival, but the builders have left a wall of old blocks in the way. Pixel Pheidippides offers to help clear it with a ball and a plank, and the workers stop to watch the Acropolis Bounce.

One bounce knocks out a block; a long rally between the blocks, without coming back to the plank, makes the whole hill cheer louder and louder. Clear the wall, let the painters in and the temple will shine for the opening day.
