Mount Olympus Glide

Glide between the peaks with laurel checkpoints. Glide up through the clouds of Mount Olympus with pixel Pheidippides on borrowed winged sandals. Fly between marble columns and pass laurel checkpoints that save you once, in this free flying game.

Twist: Every 8 columns a laurel checkpoint saves you once: crash and you restart just after it.

Parody. Pheidippides has no involvement in making these games and does not endorse them. The character is an original pixel-art caricature.

How to play

  1. Tap the screen, click, or press Space / Up arrow to rise a little. Let go and gravity pulls you down.
  2. Fly through the gap between each pair of marble columns for 10 points.
  3. Every 8 columns you pass a laurel checkpoint. The first crash after a checkpoint puts you back just after it, with your score kept.
  4. A second crash before the next checkpoint ends the flight, and so does touching the clouds at the bottom without a checkpoint saved.
  5. Press M for sound and P or Esc to pause. When the flight ends, share your score and challenge a friend.

The story

An invitation has arrived from the top of the mountain: the feast on the summit needs a messenger, and pixel Pheidippides has been lent a pair of winged sandals for the trip. The path up is all clouds and floating columns, and the trip is known as the Mount Olympus Glide.

The sandals are a little wobbly, so the mountain has kindly placed laurel checkpoints along the way. Crash once after a checkpoint and he is set back just past it; crash again and the feast starts without him. How high can he climb before dinner?
