The people of Athens are planning the biggest festival of the year, and someone has to tell them it starts tomorrow. Pixel Pheidippides ties his sandals, tucks three laurel leaves into his wreath and sets off on the Laurel Road Run, the dusty road from Marathon to the city gates.
The road is full of surprises: loose rocks, a farmer's cart, stubborn goats and the odd tipped-over amphora. Each laurel leaf can take one bump and keep him going, but three bumps and the message stays on the road. Reach Athens with good news and the festival can begin.
