Mint Arcs

Lob a brass weight at a wall of coin rolls and ingots. Knock down a wall of coin rolls, silver bars and wax-sealed ledgers in an old royal mint with pixel Isaac Newton. Slide the scale pan with the mouse, a finger or the arrows, lob the heavy brass weight and let gravity curve every shot in this free brick breaker game.

Twist: Gravity pulls the brass weight down, so every shot flies in a curved arc.

Parody. Isaac Newton has no involvement in making these games and does not endorse them. The character is an original pixel-art caricature.

How to play

  1. Move the scale pan with the mouse, by dragging a finger, or with the Left / Right arrows (A / D). Click, tap or press Space to launch the brass weight.
  2. Gravity pulls the weight down all the time, so it flies in arcs: it slows as it climbs and speeds up as it falls back. Read the curve and be under it when it lands.
  3. The weight bounces off the pan at an angle: hit it with the edge to send it sideways, with the middle to send it straight up.
  4. Each ingot is worth 10 points or more (higher rows pay more). Catch falling medals for 25 points. Clear the wall for 100 points and a new, bigger wall.
  5. You have 3 brass weights: one is lost each time it falls past the pan. M switches sound, P or Esc pauses, and you can share your score at the end.

The story

Pixel Isaac has a new job as the keeper of an old royal mint, and the counting room is a mess: towers of copper coin rolls, silver bars, gold ingots and ledgers sealed in red wax are piled into a wall that blocks every window. It all needs sorting before the morning count. Working by candlelight, pixel Isaac rides a polished scale pan and lobs a heavy brass weight at the pile.

The weight never flies straight. Gravity pulls it down the whole way, so every shot rises in a curve and drops back towards the pan, just as an apple would. Freshly struck medals sometimes slip out of the stacks, worth catching. The clerks call the night shift Mint Arcs, and each cleared wall is followed by a bigger delivery. Let the weight fall past the pan three times and the count is over. How much can pixel Isaac sort before sunrise?
