Gravity Tower

Stack apple crates, books and telescopes against gravity. Stack apple crates, heavy books, telescopes and glass prisms into a tower that rises from a sunny orchard to the starry night sky, starring pixel Isaac Newton. Time each drop in this free one-button stacking game.

Twist: Nothing is ever sliced off, but a piece whose middle misses the one below topples over.

Parody. Isaac Newton has no involvement in making these games and does not endorse them. The character is an original pixel-art caricature.

How to play

  1. Newton's rules here: there is no slicing. Every piece keeps its full width and rests exactly where it lands, even if it sticks out.
  2. The catch is balance. If the centre of a piece is not over the piece below, it topples, "TOPPLED!" appears and the round ends. Small overhangs add up, so keep the tower straight.
  3. Tap the screen, click, or press Space to drop the piece sliding above the tower.
  4. A near-exact drop is PERFECT and builds a combo bonus. Each piece is 10 points.
  5. Crates, books, telescopes and prisms slide faster as the tower climbs from the orchard into the night sky.
  6. Press M for sound and P or Esc to pause; share your score when gravity wins.

The story

Pixel Isaac Newton wants to prove a point about gravity, and he has decided to prove it the hard way. The plan, scribbled across the top of his notes as Gravity Tower, is to build the tallest tower in the county out of whatever is lying around the farm: crates of apples, his heaviest books, a couple of telescopes and the glass prisms from his desk.

Each piece slides in above the pile and has to land exactly right. Nothing gets trimmed, but a piece that leans too far past the one below simply tips over. Stack high enough and the orchard drops away, the sun sets and the moon and stars come out to watch. Gravity always wins in the end, but how long can you hold it off?
